There was only about two weeks to the event and it was fantastic. The Sunshine Events company called me back when promised, was easy to contact with questions and got me sorted in plenty of time as far as planning was concerned, in fact it was the easiest bit of the event! As for the day, the staff arrived and set up as promised, and the venue even commented that they were the most professional and friendliest company anyone ever used! We hired the Xmas tree buzz wire, Xmas teddy suit and the reindeer hoopla. The buzz wire and bear suit did exactly what was said on the tin. We were a little disapointed with the hoopla - the marquee unit and props were all in very good condition, I think I was just expecting there to be a ground cover or something, the props just looked a little dull straight onto the ground. The snow machine was exceptionally noisy and had I been warned about it at the time of booking then I would only have ordered the rodeo reindeer. It really wasn't the "wow" factor I hoped for upon welcoming guests to the party. Crispin didn't really leave himself enough time to get both the snow machine and rodeo equipment in situ ahead of the 6pm start time. He was fine once the rodeo was set up. It was difficult to get response to book the tables - after chasing up with 3 emails I eventually had a response. Steph was pleasant and helpful when I did get hold of someone. I requested that the tables arrived at 5 ready to set up at 5.30. The turned up at 5.45. I was told the tables take 10 mins to set up - at 6.30 the tables were still being set up . We hired the winter wonderland set up which was dealt with swiftly and easily. Staff on the day arrived with plenty of time and were friendly and cheery throughout even in miserable weather conditions. The team arrived early and set up the Santa's Grotto, hoopla and face-painting without any fuss. They were a nice friendly team and easy to work with, open to suggestions and happy to discuss what we needed to do.
